Philippa Roberts
Philippa has worked in major London advertising agencies for over 15 years in client service. As part of the management team of both BMP DDB and Ogilvy and Mather, as Client Service Director, she has advised many clients about brand development and their communications. Working closely with Kraft Foods, Unilever, British Gas, Barclaycard, and Nestle, she has built a strong reputation in the advertising industry.
After many years of working with brands that target women, she is passionate about improving the effectiveness of the work the industry does to attract this audience. She is an active member of Women in Advertising and Communications London (WACL), an organization comprising the 120 most influential women working in marketing and communications.
Jane Cunningham
Jane has worked for 13 years in the advertising industry. She has worked as a board account planner at BMP DDB, as Managing Director of Tribal DDB – an Internet partner company and most recently as Planning Director at Ogilvy and Mather. Jane has worked closely with Sony, Glaxo SmithKline, Kraft Foods, Unilever, Kimberly Clark among others. She has served on a number of industry bodies like the IPA and the APG, and spoken at conferences on a variety of subjects including advertising to children, and the future of communications in a digital world.
She has always had a special interest in communicating with women, leading her to initiate a project at Ogilvy and Mather on the subject. Martha Carney has interviewed her on Woman’s Hour for Radio 4, and Rosie Boycott has interviewed her in The Trouble with Being a Woman for Channel 4 on the subject of advertising to women, its strengths and deficiencies.
